UPMC - Clinical Lab Building
Massaro Corporation was selected to renovate the building previously know as the John J. Rangos Sr. Research building located at 3460 Fifth Avenue. (The new John J. Rangos Sr. Research Center was relocated to Children's Hospital in Lawrenceville.) The transformation of the existing structure includes interior demolition, of nine floors and the rebuilding of laboratory and administrative support space to provide lab services for all of the Oakland hospitals and physician offices.
The final completion of the high school included a new auditorium and black box theater and additional athletic space scheduled for completion in summer 2019. The high school is attended by approximately 2,400 students on a daily basis and the project involved very close coordination to allow for school operations to be uninterrupted throughout the four years of construction.
