Franklin Regional Primary School
Franklin Regional School District (FRSD) hired Massaro CM Services, LLC to provide construction management services for its primary and intermediate school projects. These projects included additions and renovations to convert the existing Sloan K-8 Elementary into a new K-2 facility and the construction of a new 3-5 Intermediate school. The projects also included extensive site work to allow the two schools' operations, bell schedule, and student transportation to all work in conjunction with each other.
The conversion of Sloan K-8 into a renovated, state-of-the-art K-2 Primary School included the renovation of 89,600 SF and the addition of 10,800 SF of new construction. The renovations included all new mechanical, electrical, plumbing and tele/data systems. A new fire protection system was also added. Classrooms were redesigned to allow all kindergarten to have its own in-class toilet facilities, the exterior skin of the school received new finishes and new food service equipment. The new 10,800 SF addition provided the school with contemporary administrative offices; a stage in the gymnasium, two classrooms and an expanded cafeteria seating space.
