Braddock Redux Community Center
John Fetterman, Mayor of Braddock, and executive director of the non-profit organization Braddock Redux, hired Massaro Corporation to restore a 110 year-old church, in Braddock Pennsylvania.
The church, now the Nyia Page Community Center, was in desperate need of renovation in order for it to become a useful community center.
Construction on Phase I included:
Demolition and restoration of the 13,000 square foot roof
Refurbishment of the historic, ornamental stain glass window
New windows, lighting and rest rooms
Limited renovation to the multi-purpose room
Exterior masonry repointing
Phase II Includes:
Multi-purpose room renovation to include leveling the floor from its previous sloped church floor
Remediation of basement walls
Abatement of lead-based paint
Create additional, smaller multi-purpose rooms
New "warming kitchen"
New offices, painting, plaster patches and overall HVAC
