The role of Superintendent – Self-Perform Projects (Superintendent SP) runs designated specific day-to-day operations on the construction site and works with the Project Superintendent on schedule control for the specific operation and the overall project schedule. The Superintendent SP also ensures safety, quality control and subcontractor coordination responsibilities. This role is primarily responsible for labor and material cost control on designated specific operations and works in collaboration with the project engineer to ensure production goals are met consistently.
The Superintendent SP is responsible for the overall coordination and completion of designated specific operations through direction of all related self-perform activities and foremen. Superintendents SP may have very little hands on construction interaction due to delegation to other tradespeople and subcontractor coordination.
This role is responsible for working in collaboration with the project manager and project engineer to ensure all project safety, customer service, and profitability targets are met.
